After making it through 2020, I think everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

Because surely, we wouldn't have to face these same decisions again in 2021. While the outlook of 2021 as a whole looks incredibly more positive than it did a year ago, events for the foreseeable future will have to look different. Weddings will have to change. While they might not be 300+ guest lists parties, I believe they can be just as (if not more) special as you initially imagined. Before making the hard decisions, be sure give yourself space and time to grieve your changed wedding plans. Mourn the loss of that dream. Be quiet and still with the love of your life, and remember that you two still have a life to create together. You have a choice, and I promise -- if you look for the good, YOU WILL FIND IT. The purpose of the wedding ceremony, after all, is about the two of you and the commitment you're making to each other. That will not change. The majority of my 2020 couples rescheduled their weddings to 2021, while others downsized their guest lists and held smaller, intimate events. I would love to see my 2021 couples embrace these smaller gatherings because I truly believe they mirror the marriage journey most accurately. You won't be surrounded by hundreds of people as your life continues on. You will have a small community of people that follow you as you celebrate other milestones together like moving house/locations and welcoming new additions (pets and babies!).Regardless of how you choose to proceed with your wedding plans, I am excited to celebrate with you! My marriage relationship is one of the things of which I'm most proud, and I love bearing witness to others making the same beautiful commitment.--I've been growing a human since May of last year and haven't shared nearly what I wanted to from 2020! Despite the pandemic, life kept going on, and I'm thankful to have shared in so many moments last year with wonderful clients. Just as they've shared their joys with me, I want to share them with YOU! Here's a quick recap of some of my favorites from 2020.

Look for the good and you will find it.
