Late June Holland Wedding at Boatworks

THE sky was made for the moon and stars
you were made to steal my heart
and I was made for you

--

Matt and Ashley’s wedding day was about their love. They didn’t schedule it around others or pick traditions they didn’t want to do. Instead, they met with each other privately prior to the ceremony to read sacred vows. They set aside time for pictures for just the two of them -- finding space for connection and truly reveling in the moment. They picked a venue that offered guests a gorgeous view and outdoor space for games. And THE FOOD. If you’ve worked with me previously, you know I will love you forever when you feed me good food, and Boatwerks wedding venue had it.

Their June day was the perfect way to kick-off a busy wedding season. I can still feel the wind coming off Lake Macatawa and the way the sun warmed my shoulders. I loved reliving it here on the blog, and it just makes me want to get them back in front of my camera to make some more magic (anniversary session, please).

Vendors at the bottom of the blog, and all those gorgeous gravel pit portraits in the middle.

Thanks for letting me witness your love, Ashley and Matt. I’d work every single day if it meant I could have such great clients as the two of you!
