FAQs
What’s your style / approach?
My style leans toward storytelling with natural-looking editing that won't age with different trends. The majority of the day is documentary with our portrait time being a mixture of posed and photojournalistic. I thrive on working with couples to make them comfortable in front of the camera and having them leave the session feeling relaxed and confident.
How many photos will I receive?
Portrait sessions generally yield 50+ images per hour. Weddings will vary based on coverage. I do not set limits — if it passes my approval, you’ll receive it in your gallery.
Do you use artificial lighting?
I prefer to capture the moment in the exact setting it happens— dark getting ready spaces, uneven ceremony lighting, the like. However, I will use additional artificial lighting if I feel the need presents itself. This is common during posed family portraits, wedding recessionals, reception toasts / speeches, and dances.
What should we wear?
Wear what makes you feel comfortable! Feeling good in what you wear translates to confidence and confidence is the best style. If you would like my recommendation based on your location or a certain “look” you are going for, I’m happy to chat further.
Do we own the copyright to the photos? Can I print the photos?
I maintain the copyright to the images, but your session includes a print release that allows you to print photos (gift prints, cards, albums, etc.). You are not permitted to profit from your photos.
