Intimate Lakeshore Wedding in South Haven

Ever thine,
Ever Mine,
Ever ours.

Lily and Ashlee dreamed of a wedding steeped in intimacy and intention. On an October day in a rented home overlooking the endless blue of Lake Michigan, they surrounded themselves with their family, dearest friends, and their beloved dog, Xena.

I remember standing there overlooking the water. The air held promise - of an autumn day draped in golden hues, of arms held tight in the warmth of family. Theirs was a vow whispered between hearts - witnessed by eight guests, binding not just two souls in marriage, but intertwining the hearts of family and friends.

Weddings like these resonate with the deepest parts of my heart. A celebration stripped of excess, where love takes center stage. There’s a beauty in the freedom to simply be present without the weight of entertaining hundreds of guests.

It was in these moments of quiet joy, in the warmth of close company, that Lily and Ashlee’s love felt truest.

As I left that evening, I glanced back at the candlelit table, the soft glow reflecting the laughter and connection between friends. I breathed out in gratitude. This is love. This is what the world longs for—to be accepted, to be seen, to be known.
