Let’s just be honest. I’m having a hard time staying on track here at Grand Central Station (a.k.a. my office) with our 1-year anniversary approaching so closely. We’re unplugging (oh, thank Heavens, we need this!) and heading up North for the weekend and half of next week. And to top our more romantic get-away, we’re also planning an anniversary photo session (one year gift is traditionally paper 😉 ) with Sam and Brad from Bradley James Photography. In lieu of this, I’m rewarding myself during my editing breaks with researching cute outfits (holla @ Pinterest!), make-up styles, and naps. Because we’re mid-wedding season and still booking like crazy. And that makes me want a nap. And buy more pretty lenses. I research those too during my breaks — that counts as work then, right?
ANYWHO.
I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around the idea that summer could possibly almost over and school is looming (speaking of which, two lovely ladies are getting senior pictures done this week and will be featured in a few weeks on the blog!). So, I’ve been reveling in some of summer’s “last chances” with spontaneous trips to Craig’s Cruisers, drive-way chalk art, special trips to see special friends (and babies!), and walking into Meijer in my wedding dress (after my fabulous Trash the Dress session with Emily Rae), and celebrating post-wedding shoots with rewarding naps and sleeping in with my sweet hubby.

Stay tuned on the blog for a glowy, country maternity session (tomorrow) and a sweet, love-filled anniversary session (Thursday) before I pack my bags with all my essentials (sans computer/iPad) and explore the depths of love while looking back on my first year of marriage with the best man I’ve ever known. Happy Tuesday, Internet! 🙂
