I love weddings — obviously. There’s an unmistakeable energy that settles into every moment throughout the day. And I think that’s why I love the evening after so much: the time to relive the details, the glances, the perfection of her dress. TIME — to relive the day, the moments. Steph and Ryan are new to the blog, and what a premiere! These two were united this summer and blessed with a warm, sunny day. Married in their home church in Ada, Michigan, Ryan and Steph planned a lake-themed reception at Watermark Country Club only minutes away in Grand Rapids. Enjoy! (<— I know we did!!)
Her bouquet of various yellows and whites…oh, perfection.
…but her dress. I could never adequately describe my excitement upon first seeing Steph’s wedding gown. The layers, the ruffles, the glam!
*swooooning || a dress only a Princess could wear!
One fine lookin’ groom. ; )
And while a handsome man read sweet words from the love of this life, she was laughing, dancing, and sipping on joy.
I’ve lived and breathed the phrase “it takes a village” when it comes to child-rearing. However, it takes a BRIDAL PARTY when it comes to putting on a gown. ; )
First Look! First Look!
We scheduled a special amount of time before their ceremony, meeting first at the Ada Bridge.
We spent some time at the lakeshore for family & bridal portraits. And for the record, I adore fun bridal parties that are up for everything and have such fun ideas. The boys were well-loosened up from the moment I whipped the camera out. I think they are fun.
Since Steph and Ryan chose to have more bridal party pictures taken at the golf course, Adam and I shooed everyone away (gently, of course) to spend some beautiful perfect alone time with these two on the dock. I was in love with the moment. But reliving the moment? I don’t think I could ever be happier! These two are gorgeous!
We breathed the lake winds slowly and deeply before delving into the rest of the day’s agenda.
And it was worth it.
You are stunning. Inside & out.
It’s time to get married! : )
What a happy moment. A proud father, an excited couple.
A new chapter with many memories to create.<3
Their lakeside reception theme was extremely well thought-out with different centerpieces and names tables.
Each name-plate was held in a sea-shell. I loved them so much, I kept ours in our camera bag! ; )
Before their grand entrance, the entire bridal party spent a great time celebrating on the course with mimosas, laughter, and some freedom driving golf carts.
I’m always impressed when the entire bridal party makes it off the ground. I’m actually more impressed that dear Steph got her entire dress off the ground while wearing heels and looking effortlessly beautiful while doing so.
what a gorgeous pair.<3
Sass. They have it.
“Raise anchor! The Ryan & Steph ship sets sail!”
…and then, we celebrated.
You’re beautiful. Your wedding was exquisite, and your family and friends full of love and fun. I don’t think we could’ve asked for a better day, and I know Adam and I couldn’t have asked for a better couple. Your love inspires us to see more and capture more. Thank you for allowing us the pleasure of being there for your most special day! We wish you — Ryan and Steph — abundant joy and blessings as you continue this wild and precious journey!<3
xo, the Burnetts.
