Sometimes in the midst of wedding season, days can become hazy and details a bit uncertain. However, that truth is never so when I relive each wedding day: especially this one. Kristen and Jason‘s vivacity for life and for their love cemented their wedding day into my mind, and I couldn’t be more grateful to be with them through each step of the day! If you remember their sneak peek, you’ll remember me recalling stepping lightly into the salon as rain drizzled outside. I looked at the windowpane as water trickled downwards, then slung my camera over my shoulder and searched for Kristen. She was glowing.
She and Jason were planning a First Look at an antique barn they had found off a dirt road, and my heart ached for her wedding day to be perfect. We hugged and she smiled. The kind of smile that radiates through only a brides eyes. ”I’m getting married today!” she exclaimed. I knew then that she didn’t care about the weather. She didn’t care if her dress got a little dirty or her hair wasn’t perfect. She had found the one whom her soul loves. And he had found her.
I will forever remember.
Kristen and Jason, your day was perfect. Thank you for showing the world how to love with pure excitement and honesty. Enjoy!
Kristen’s Maid of Honor on seeing her make-up! Love this!
Kristen, you are stunning. Your dress was idyllic and you are beautiful.
Hi, Handsome. ; )
A quad-folded handkerchief? My Groom aims to impress. Oh, and he does.
I swear, nothing could’ve ever ruined this First Look.
This is love.
Kristen’s eye caught my camera, but Jason’s eyes were elsewhere! ; ) Love moments like this! Ow, ow!
On a side-note, these two should take up modeling.
I didn’t realize that photographing in the rain might have an effect on my lenses; oops! A little bit of a faded highlight and flair, I think it adds a dreamy touch to the next few photographs!
While Adam and I switched lenses or created poses, Jason held Kristen close. I love how you can see all sorts of elements here: rain on his jacket and her hair, contentment in his arms, joy in her smile.
SO GORG, GIRL!
While we waited for the bridal party, we all sat in our little Saturn and dried off with whatever we could find. Jimmy John napkins, Adam’s old t-shirt, a beach towel from the trunk. Oh, but it was worth it!
What a fabulous-looking bridal party! Absolutely love the orange this season.
Boys will be boys. And I love that about them. : )
Before Jason and Kristen ever met, she had driven past this church and declared she wanted to be married here. Little did she know, Jason attended this church, and she’d have the day of her dreams in the little church with white pillars that she adored years before.
Swooning.
Kristen’s ring included rose-gold; something I absolutely love and fits her perfectly!
I love how Kristen’s sister peeks around the Maid of Honor for a glance at their first married kiss. So cute!
Mr. & Mrs.!
HAPPY, HAPPY!
…and a perfect getaway car!
I don’t think Jason could ever ask for more. His Jeep and his wife. And maybe this photograph blown up HUGE. ; )
Their Master of Ceremonies brought games, jokes, and lots of laughter to their reception!
A standing ovation for lots of talented performances.
In lieu of dancing, Jason and Kristen chose fun games that kept their guests on their toes!
So fun!
…and the most grand Grand Exit.
Adam and I were completely honored to photograph your wedding day from start to finish. We are wishing you blessings upon blessings! You two are completely deserving.
Happy Marriage. Happy Life.
