Kendra and Justin were married on one of the very few snowy December days we had in Southwest Michigan. I prayed and prayed for just a few snowflakes to show the purity and the newness of these two joining in marriage. I’ve known Kendra since second-grade, and it was an honor as me and Adam photographed the day her and Justin – the man of her dreams, the man of whom she spoke so lovingly over dinners and girl talk for years – became man and wife.
As I stood on the side aisle of my hometown church, tears formed on my lashes and a never-ending smile spread across my face as these two swayed together to their unity song, smiled at each other with the loudest joy, and gazed through eyes of desperate love almost knowing that this moment would change their lives forever…for the better.
I believe in the way God knits two people together when they stand before him on their wedding day. Something sacred happens in that moment, something that will, with grace and intention and faith and hard work, build upon itself and grow in power and beauty and durability with each passing year. — Shauna Niequist
We felt love and family, friendship and celebration throughout the entirety of your gorgeous wedding day. Many more to come, you two! But just for now…
