Adam and I are so excited for Christina & Chris‘s Fall wedding this coming November after hanging out and photographing these two in August. Although they are currently living on the other side of the state (oh, my dedicated brides), they are returning back to Douglas, Michigan, for their wedding celebration. In fact, that’s where their story began, and why they chose this quaint town nestled between Saugatuck and Holland for their engagement session.
We started in town, walking and talking about wedding plans (with umbrellas in tow) and when I found a spot, oh I let them know. “Yeah, that sounds fanta- WAIT. STOP. EVERYONE. I’m inspired.” I love when couples schedule an engagement session before the big day, because it allows us to get to know each other, get a feeling for what its like in front of the camera, and dealing with me and my “inspired” moments (which is really just a fancy way of you two having some great comedic relief as I whisper to myself behind the camera).
I loved this little outlet here and featured one of these photos in color on their sneak peek. Mucky seaweed water or not, I will wade knee deep to be all “inspired”!
Kinda, sorta in love with this love.
So, we all danced in the rain in the middle of the street? YUP.
Then we moved along near the Felt Mansion and almost crashed a Sunday wedding, but we opted for an old church and fields nearby. *sigh* Love.
(see those raindrops?)
It had been sprinkling all day during our photoshoot, but during a quick outfit change, more storm clouds rolled in and we took refuge under beautiful boughs and just let Christina and Chris be in the best place they could be. In love.
Oh, we enjoyed our session with you two so much! 🙂 We know all the loose ends will eventually tie themselves, and you two will have a perfect day in just a couple of months! We can’t wait!
