Becky + Jarret :: Southwest Michigan Wedding

Becky and Jarret were married February 1st on one of the snowiest days of the year.  I remember everything so clearly because I had a baby session the morning of; the snow kept falling, and Adam and I were stuck in traffic for hours.  But, with His grace, we made it safely to the newborn session and then later to this lovely, intimate Friday evening wedding.

We only had five hours to cover their wedding — from getting ready to some of the last dances — and I’m so pleased that we were able to capture the day these two became one.  Adam is Becky’s cousin, so when she asked me to photograph her wedding, I simply couldn’t say “no”!  And as the snow fell beautifully outside, friends and family gathered at Road to Life Church in St. Joseph, Michigan, to celebrate the dreams, the future, the love of these two.

I’ve found these in between moments to be the one that captivate me the most.  Becky, you are stunning.  STUNNING.

Nothing else but this to calm any before-wedding jitters for this groom!  (For all you non-musicians out there, Jarret is playing a cajon — basically a drum in a box, and sounds so cool!)

When Becky’s Aunt Lucy was married, Becky was her flower girl.  Now, on Becky’s wedding day, her sweet cousin takes the place of flower girl as Becky becomes the bride.

Becky and Jarret opted out of a First Look, but choose a moment before the ceremony where they could pray, talk to each other, and touch each other.  Perfectly intimate.  Perfectly them.

Blown away by his bride!

Mr! And! Mrs!
I adore the sweet flower girl adoring her cousin…most likely imagining the day she’ll meet and marry her Prince too. 🙂

Crazy fun bridal party!  Just HAD to whip out the party lens for THEM!

We had only minutes with just the newlyweds before heading the reception site, but they are happy because this is home for them.  This place is where they met, fell in love, nurtured that love, and finally, on that Friday, became husband and wife.

They chose to have their reception at Lake Michigan Hills Golf Course in Coloma, Michigan.  Their simplistic theme continued to here, and the low-lit room welcomed all who came.

I fell in love with this cake.  Too pretty to eat!…almost. 🙂

Right after being announced, they swayed directly onto the dance floor for a memorable first dance.

And despite all the silliness and fun that they are…

They are love.

Brother + Sister point and toast. Lessons being given, if I do remember.  And most likely, warnings for Jarret.  ; )

Someone a liiiittle excited to get that garter off his bride!

Then we let this guy GET.THE.PARTY.STARTED with — oh yeah! — the worm.

Happy Wedding day, you two!  Another drummer in the family, what will Adam do?!  🙂  But, all joking aside, Adam and I are so grateful that God has brought the two of you together to know His love and the love you’ll experience in your marriage.  Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Kramer!  All our love and blessings, xo.
