If you’re new to the blog, you can find out a little about Ashley and Marshall in the sneak peek of their engagement session. They hail from the east side of the state, and they wanted to be sure to dip their toes in our dear Lake Michigan. We faced the heat and harsh sun and ended up having a lovely time at both parts of their session: along the shores of our Great Lake and in the fields where we relax in our mild summers.
…and her handsome beau? You’d never be able to tell he might’ve been at first a little camera shy. Let’s just say Adam and I do whatever it takes for our couples to feel comfortable in front of the camera. The story behind this next picture? Client/Photographer confidentiality. Or honestly, Adam and I being our crazy selves…to a whole ‘nother extreme. 😉
Absolutely ADORABLE!
St. Joe’s lighthouse, seagulls, gentle waves, and bare feet. Ahh, summer’s here.
Working as a husband+wife team isn’t only great for the companionship or support; it also can produce amazing images simultaneously. Both poses (above and below) yielded multiple pictures that look completely different because Adam and I were at different view-points.
While I love the waters of my lake, I belong in the country and there’s no denying that. Ashley and Marshall seem to fall more into themselves here too. Maybe its their country-upbringing or maybe its their love? Or maybe its because we were only four minutes from their fabulous wedding venue at The Blue Dress Barn!
I adore willow trees and the intimacy they give in a moment.
And open grass is always welcomed too. 😉
White lace dress + cowgirl boots combined with a handsome man in a pair of jeans. Let me go get my tractor and take you for a ride on THE LOVE TRAIN.
Absolute perfection.
I’m so thankful we were able to spend the entire afternoon with you two! Getting to know you and seeing your love was a delight, and we’re thrilled for your country wedding later this summer. Remember this summer. This sweet, sweet summer of love.
