Today’s featured wedding took place in Kalamazoo, Michigan – a classic Loft 310 wedding! I worked with Nicole Marie Photography, and together we documented Aileen & James elegant affair: black, white, and gold with such gorgeous vibrant florals.
Every summer, I dedicate a few weekends to work with other wedding photographers in the community. This allows me to take a break from primary shooting and zen out with my creative self. I spend more time with grooms and generally challenge myself on seeing different stages of the wedding day differently.
It takes work to look so good! And real bow-ties take a team to put together.
They were married at St. Thomas More Catholic Parish, and the lighting was divine.
Before the reception, we went to Kalamazoo College for a beautiful, historical photo-op.
…and because its Kalamazoo & a wedding day, we haaaad to head Downtown!
Loft 310 is just an ideal wedding event space. Industrial meets classic with so much light & brightness. It was perfection, and I can’t wait to go back for another wedding.
Her milk-glass vases? OMG.
While the guests got the dance party started, we went up to the rooftop for a few more portraits and then hurried into The Gatsby for a moody moment. Yes, yes, a thousand times, yes.
James & Aileen: thank you for allowing me to be a part of your wedding team! I absolutely adored your day from start to finish, and I wish you all the best. <3
